Do you want to make a difference in a child's life while also having fun? Then become a mentor! Mentors make a difference by doing nothing more than choosing to spend an hour a week with a child and be a positive role model. All mentoring is done on-site at our program so there is no need to transport your mentee or worry about activities. Call or email today for more information on becoming a youth mentor! kmuck@usdreamacademy.org

The Dream Academy is an after school program for children in grades 2nd - 8th who are at-risk of incarceration and failing school. The program is based at the Dual Immersion Academy in Glendale Monday - Thursday 3-6 and Friday 1-6. The program has a 3 pillar approach: skill building, character building and dream building.
Volunteers provide academic support though homework help and reading guidance. Volunteers may also do one-on-one mentoring or small group mentoring.
The best part of volunteering at the Dream Academy is just getting to hang out with the little kids, even though they are only in 3rd, 4th or 5th grade they teach me something new everyday! I also loved the amazing hugs I would get the moment I walked in the door, everyone that knew me would yell my name and come running! That's definitely the best feeling. -Hilary Sherlock, Salt Lake City, Utah
