Change a child's life for the better, forever. Big Brothers Big Sisters of Utah matches youth facing adversity with volunteer mentors. Big Brothers Big Sisters offers various mentoring programs to fit the needs of every individual volunteer.
In the school-based program, Bigs and Littles meet for one hour a week at the local elementary schools and spend time working on homework and then participating in fun activities together, such as playing board games or practicing a sport.
I thought it was a great opportunity to have a little, I had so much fun being a part of a little girl's life. I was thankful to know that she had someone there for her despite the troubles in her life. - Jessica Kern, Park City, Utah
Children enrolling in the school-based program range from 1st-6th grade and the volunteers can be adults or high school students in 9th grade and up. We require a one year commitment at a minimum.

High School Mentors
Freshmen - Juniors in High School
Big Brothers Big Sisters of Utah is looking for high school volunteers to mentor children in Park City elementary schools. Each volunteer meets with one child for one hour per week after school to work on homework, play board games, or play outside. You choose which school works best with your schedule.
This is a fun and meaningful way to get service hours. It also looks great on college applications!
