This is a non-profit piano program for students at a Title 1 school (Rose Park Elementary) to have access to free keyboard classes and practice labs.
Volunteers will be helping individual students one on one at the keyboards with very basic keyboard skills and will also assist the teacher. Classes are from 3:15 to 5:30 pm Tues and Thurs.
"I loved working with these kids! I looked forward each week to the afternoon I got to spend with them. They also liked having someone younger like me helping to coach them one on one in basic keyboard skills. It was so fun to get to know them - they are awesome kids!" -Bryn LeBaron, Salt Lake City, Utah
Rose Park is a Community Learning Center and so it is a hub for the community and always has classes going on. The Piano program is a part of an ambitious after school program that is modeled after a college liberal arts program. The arts are important to this school and community.
