Liberty Senior Center Salt Lake County Aging and Adult Services promotes independence through advocacy, engagement and access to resources. The Liberty Senior Center is open Monday-Friday from 8am-5pm. Senior Centers are vibrant community social hubs where older adults can access aging-related resources, socialize with friends, enjoy a healthy lunch and explore opportunities to stay healthy, active and engaged. The Center offers activities in fitness, recreation, computer classes, ESL classes, health promotion presentations, and much more.
Volunteers assist in front desk duties including, answering phone calls, making copies, filing, computer work, assisting seniors with scanning their membership cards and using the touch screen to select their daily recreation activities. Other assignments could include assisting seniors in the computer lab, and or light cleaning of the building and light yard work.
“I enjoy being with the seniors at the Liberty Center and making their day better by participating in games and socializing with them.” -Stephanie Buckner, Salt Lake City, Utah
