Courage Reins was founded in 1998, to improve the lives of individuals with physical, mental, and emotional challenges, by providing a safe, fun and challenging environment where physical, cognitive, social, and emotional growth could occur through therapeutic riding and other equine based activities.
Our volunteers are the best! They work beside us in the heat of summer and the often freezing cold of winter. They bring joy to so many lives. So many smiles, so may giggles as riders, horses and volunteer teams join together each week to just make the world a little better place for us all. From horse tacking to side walking, Courage Reins volunteers are the heart of our barn.
I volunteered with the same students each time and got very close with so many of them. It was incredible to watch their progress. The program is fun and uplifting. I value how each volunteer truly cared about the student's progress and the horses well being. - Hailey Bojack, Draper, Utah
The minimum age requirement for a volunteer is now 14 years old. Regular Volunteers - would be expected to work a minimum of 2 shifts per month (around 5hrs) on scheduled times and days. We would love if you could make it a weekly habit!

Age Minimum Requirement: 14
