VA Voluntary Service (VAVS) works to provide supplemental assistance to hospital staff. There are multiple assignments that volunteers can help with from assisting patients to clinic help.

Volunteers can fill out a request form online at http://www.volunteer.va.gov/ This is a better placement for students already enrolled in nursing school with a connection to the facility already.
