Guadalupe School is a community of students, staff and volunteers who believe that education is the greatest tool to fight the cycle of poverty. We are five unique learning programs within one school, focusing on parent involvement, college preparation, and healthy families. To all who enroll in our programs, we provide a sense of connection, a welcome place to learn and a chance to find better opportunities.
It takes a village to educate a child and Guadalupe’s corps of volunteers are critical to our success! Tutor a Child: STAR tutors are needed to help work with students on reading during after school hours, and additional assistance is needed in our after school program. Tutor an Adult: Volunteers are the heart and soul of Guadalupe’s Adult Education program. Over 160 community members donate their time every year to provide instruction to our adult students. If you would like more information about these volunteer opportunities, please contact Maricella Garcia at 801-531-6100 x118 or email maricella.garcia@guadschool.org
After working at Guadalupe School for about five months, I was so amazed and proud to see the progress that the children had made who I had been tutoring. It was also great to see their excitement about learning burgeon. - Hannah Barkey, Salt Lake City, Utah
We provide five unique programs that offer quality education at every stage of life from infants to adults: In-Home Education, Toddler Beginnings, Preschool, K-6 Charter School, and Adult Education.
