At the Provo City Library, local community members can get a library card and check out all kind of books. There are also free and paid events to attend, from a Fairy Tea Party to great author guest speakers.
There are many tasks for volunteers to attend to. Some examples are, preparing for a special event (sometimes even dressing up for the event) and running an activity. Other activities involve organizing books, cleaning, or helping the patrons and attending to their needs. Doing crafts and reading to kids happens on a few days during each week, which volunteers can often help with, and help prepare for.
I loved working at the Provo Library, and learned so much from my experience! I felt that working at a library gave me a different experience than other service sites would have. I learned how a library works, and helped educate children and show them that reading and learning can be fun, and isn't always school work.- Mia Felin, Orem, Utah
