The Family Summit Foundation is a support center for children, teens and their families who are grieving the loss of someone they love because of death, divorce or separation. We also have support groups for children in foster care. Our goals are to support and nurture children and their families in a loving and understanding environment as they experience grief. We are providing crisis intervention and consultations to schools in Northern Utah. We also have a library, with materials and books available to the public.
Our volunteers are compassionate people who make a difference in the lives of children who are grieving the loss of a loved one. Our volunteers will hold group workshops to help children deal with loss. Volunteers will also work hand in hand with the children in the playroom assisting in various activities. Volunteers are also needed for office work and must be 16 years old.
I have really enjoyed watching the kids improve and being exposed to my community's issues. - Andrea Funk, Ogden, Utah
