ACCEPTING VOLUNTEERS The 4-H after-school program is designed to support the positive and successful development of youth through the educational philosophy of “Learn by Doing”. Volunteers and staff experience the joy of sharing hands on activities with youth in an after-school setting. At the same time the youth are learning life, decision making and social skills and just having a great time with an adult and friends. Our ultimate goal is for youth to develop positive personal assets needed to live successfully and responsibly in a diverse and changing world. Having the children learn through play and fun aids their remembering what was taught. The 4-H after-school program can complement in-school learning and development.
