Bristol Hospice provides hospice services to meet the physical, psychosocial, and spiritual needs of our patients at the end of life. We focus on an individualized plan of care which may include, as appropriate, the following services: nursing, physicians, hospice aides, spiritual support, therapy, dietary, counseling, volunteers, durable medical equipment, supplies, bereavement services and medications related to the terminal illness.
Volunteers provide companionship to patients who may be lonely. You may read out loud, listen to music, watch a movie, play games and puzzles, listen to fascinating life stories, deliver flowers, sing, play a musical instrument, utilize your second language abilities, simply chat with a patient or just sit and holding a hand. Volunteers must complete a drug screening and background check. Volunteers must be current on their TB immunization. Volunteers must have a current CPR card. Bristol Hospice makes this easy by covering the costs of the drug screening, background check, and CPR certification.
Volunteering with Bristol Hospice was a lot of fun! Sometimes we would just hang out and it actually meant a lot to the patient to simply have someone there. -Nic Call, Mapleton, Utah
Volunteer opportunities are available from Utah County to Logan. Contact me to discuss volunteer opportunities. We offer all training and supervision. Things that set us apart from other hospice companies: a program exclusive to Bristol is the "Bloomin' Flower Project" we contact local floral shops and get donated flowers about to be tossed and our volunteers put arrangements together for the Patient, family, caregivers to brighten the day of a patient/ caregiver in need. We offer a volunteer who does pictures at the request of patients or family members. This is a wonderful keepsake. 100% cost of pictures or disk donated by our Bristol volunteer. We rolled out a program in July called "RANDOM ACT OF KINDNESS" we are proud of this project of spreading positivity to the community. - What we do - Our volunteers make goodies bags and put a " RAOK - pass it on" sticker on the goodie bags - when Bristol employees/ volunteers are out seeing residents and patients we hand them out. It's always nice to spread kindness. The feed back from this project is amazing. At Bristol we acknowledge our volunteers are an important part of our company and team. We would love to have you be a part of our company. CALL OR EMAIL ME TODAY!
