ACCEPTING VOLUNTEERS. Dixie Regional Medical Center is the major medical referral center for northwestern Arizona, southeastern Nevada, and southern Utah. We are fully accredited by The Joint Commission and serve as a level II trauma center, caring for almost all trauma patients.
Our volunteers serve in the hospital in various areas, capacities, and departments. Successful applicants can serve in areas ranging from the Lobbies to the Emergency Department, Rehabilitation to the Gift Shop. We assist all hospital visitors in feeling welcome and direct them to their desired locations.
We have opportunities for anyone age 15 and above who are willing to serve, and want to be a kind face to help in the community within the hospital and medical center.
As a volunteer I assisted with patient intake. I also helped the nurses with simple tasks such as taking patients to rooms, taking visitors to rooms, and delivering paperwork. I loved being able to lighten the staff's load. -Sydney Garcia, St. George, Utah
