ACCEPTING VOLUNTEERS. Harrison Pointe Health Care and Rehab located in Ogden specializes in nursing care, orthopedics, cardiac patients, pulmonary patients, wound care, diabetes, physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech therapy.
Volunteers help organize supplies, assist with activities and games, and provide social visits. Volunteers must have a current TB vaccination. Volunteers 18 years and older must complete a background check.
As a volunteer under the recreational therapy division I had the opportunity to spend a lot of time with the residents. Most the patients are in a considerable amount of pain and recreational therapy allows for them to shift their focus towards something else.
