Intermountain Homecare Volunteers are part of the Hospice Team, which is Multi-disciplinary, and includes the Medical Director, RN, CAN, Social Worker and Chaplain. We are committed to creating an extraordinary experience to those we serve. We help people live the healthiest lives possible.
Volunteers provide: Companionship, Caregiver relief, Bereavement, Music therapy, Help writing personal history, Organize photos, personal recipes, Share their own talents through crafts, art, Run errands, Light housekeeping, participate in our annual Remembrance(memorial) for those who have passed within the past year, Grief Camp for kids(Camp Forget Me Not).
The thing I most valued about this service site was that I was able to spend time one on one with a patient and develop a relationship with them. I felt like I was a friend and positive influence in their life. -Dallas Carter, Odgen, Utah

Hospice Volunteer

Hospice volunteers are needed to help with end-of-life patients, and their care givers, by providing companionship, respite care(staying with a patient while the caregiver runs errands,) listening, reading, sharing, hobbies, or other talents, writing end of life stories, Music Therapy, Compassionate activities that support direct patient care. Bereavement volunteers make phone calls to check on families and caregivers, after a love ones death. Office opportunities to help with mailings, other clerical needs.
