You must be 18 or older to volunteer. Ages 14-17 can apply for Junior Volunteer position.
I volunteered at the information desk. I helped people get around the hospital and delivered cards and flowers. I would occasionally push people in their wheelchairs up to their rooms. One time I watched a little girl because her mom was in a wheel chair and couldn't do it herself. I loved serving here because I was able to help in a small way but it made a huge impact. -Haylee Lanham, Sandy, Utah

The best part about volunteering here was being able to say hi to people and telling them to have a nice day. It feels good to give them a smile when they might be going through some hard times being at a hospital. I also liked (even in a small way) making their lives easier by helping them know where to go.

I really enjoy volunteering at Alta View hospital by being able to help people with small things, like showing them to a specific room or telling them where a patient is located. Then sometimes you can help out by helping a nurse putting a discharged patient into their car, and things like that. Working at the information desk is really fun, and a good way to interact with people.
