Not accepting volunteers at this time. Intermountains non-profit hospitals and clinics are operated for the benefit of the community, not to maximize profit or benefit shareholders. As a result, Intermountain is able to provide charity care to qualifying patients.
A variety of volunteer opportunities are available including service in the emergency department, surgery waiting areas, gift shop and more. There are several opportunities for adults as well as a Junior Volunteer Program for those under 18. Required 6 month commitment, 4 hours a week.
I loved knowing that I was actually helping people at IMC. Often times visitors would come in crying, looking for a loved one that got in an accident, and I was able to help them locate their loved one and console them. - Stephen Buma, Murray, UT
