The Hser Ner Moo Community and Welcome Center, an Out of School Time Program of Promise South Salt Lake, is open to youth and their families that live, work or worship in South Salt Lake. Through community partnerships they are able to meet the needs of youth and their families by providing or referring them to resources for success.
You will work directly with the refugee students on homework tutoring, mentoring a student, or assisting in the Early Learning program. Volunteer opportunities are available Monday-Thursday from 4-7pm elementary-aged children and teens.
I absolutely Loved the people. I got to meet and hear some amazing stories from some very amazing people. That sounds cliché but honestly it was a humbling experience working with those who were still so positive after going through so much. Grant Bakker, Salt Lake City, Utah
