We are partnering with the Utah Section PGA for the annual Siegfried & Jensen Utah Open on August 21-27 at Riverside Country Club in Provo, Utah. This will be a third-party fundraising event and a portion of the proceeds goes directly to Special Olympics Utah to benefit its programs and athletes. Amateur golfers will participate on Monday to Thursday in the Pro-Am and the professionals will compete in the tournament on Friday to Sunday. Special Olympics Utah golfers will participate in a short game challenge with local celebrities on Monday the 21rst.
Special Olympics Utah provides all of the volunteers for the event. I am helping recruit volunteers to come help at the event. You will have the opportunity to work side-by-side with Special Olympics staff, athletes, teams, families and other supporters of the community. If you are willing to volunteer at the Utah Open, you can register online at www.sout.org/volunteer-opportunities/. Groups of 4 or more should contact Bailee Carlson directly at carlson@sout.org since there are not a lot of group slots available. Youth 12-15 years old can volunteer with an accompanying adult volunteer. If you have any questions, please contact Bailee Carlson at carlson@sout.org. This will be a great experience to volunteer and give back to our community! Thank-you!
Bonus for volunteering: Shirts, hats, meals, and more (while supplies last)! :)
